Rememberance Parade

The SQN marches through Havant as part of Remembrance Sunday

From my time as a Cadet, now just over 20 years ago, Remembrance Sunday sticks in my mind more than many other activities in which I took part. The act of remembrance always held a sense of reverence and duty that no other event did. In addition, representing not only the Squadron but also the RAF held further meaning and importance.

This year the current Cadets of the Squadron took those same responsibilities and 32 Cadets and Staff marched proudly through the streets of Havant with branches of the Military, The Royal British Legion and other Organisations. During the Act of Remembrance itself our own Cadet SGT Stray, who is also the Mayor's Cadet, read some passages and also laid a wreath.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
