Wing Muster

Time for Lasagne!

The Wing Muster was the first in its kind. It was held at RAF Odiham on Saturday 17th May and every squadron within the Wing attended with the main aim of flying everyone (cadets and staff).

The day was run by the staff of RAF Odiham who kindly gave up their days to help us all.

There was a real buzz around the base with around 700 cadets and staff experiencing flying in a Chinook. In addition to the flying side of things also present were the RAF Careers service, No 1 Radio School RAF from Cosford, the RAF Regiment, the RAF Fire Service, Odiham's Safety Equipment Section, Kestrel Gliding Club of the RAF Gliding Association and a team of chefs from catering with their massive field kitchen providing gourmet Chicken Korma or Lasagne to feed us all.

Commandant Air Cadets, Regional Commandant and the new Region Warrant Officer were all in attendance. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the Station Commander, who personally flew Chinooks for the best part of 6 hours, and his fantastic team for all they did for the Wing who gave up a rest day to connect with the Air Cadets and showcase the best of the Royal Air Force.

There were 21 cadets and 4 members of staff from Havant in attendance. Can you seem them in the photo?

An amazing day!!!
